You know every acre of your farm like the back of your hand, but do you know your numbers around marketing? How many bushels did you sell, at what prices did you sell them, and how do those numbers compare at each location you sell to?

Knowing key numbers about your marketing is critical to making more informed grain marketing decisions. Today, GrainBridge is excited to announce an easy view to help you understand your grain marketing performance: Average Cash Price.

Seeing your average cash price allows you to better understand how well your grain marketing performance is over a crop year. For example, if you had 15 corn contracts in 2020, we’ll weight those contracts (a sale of 50,000 bushels will count more than 10,000 bushels) and give you an average for the year. If you’ve sold in multiple years, we’ll give you a graph to allow you to compare your performance year-over-year.

You probably have some idea of what you sold your corn crop for last year, but going through all of your contracts to calculate your exact average sales price is tedious. We’ve done the math for you. No matter how sophisticated your grain marketing plans are, GrainBridge’s average price feature gives producers a great starting point when considering past year’s averages. GrainBridge provides notifications that can keep you updated on prices at your favorite locations. We all know marketing plans change in the blink of an eye. With average prices and notifications, GrainBridge empowers producers to stay proactive in your marketing.

This is just the first of many data-focused features we’ll be adding this year to help support your grain marketing plans.

We’d love your feedback, check out this new feature and let us know what you think!
